As much time as I've spent out of doors I've only seen a bear really well once. To be able to photograph one (of two!!) would be outstanding.
Go to Yosemite, Kym. There's thousands of them there.
Closer to home, the Marble Mountain Wilderness seems to have quite a few that we've seen during the day. Head on up to the Haypress Meadows trailhead and make your way up to One Mile Lake. You should see a few on your way there.
But they won't be grizzlies like these, which is actually a good thing when you're hiking.
Or you can do the"Grizzly Man" thing and try playing with them.
